Use of products: use the products only for the intended purpose (e.g. fishing) and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Handling and storage: take extra care when handling sharp or small parts (hooks, lures, batteries) and keep them out of the reach of children. Store products in a dry and safe environment, protected from moisture, high temperatures and direct sunlight.
Electrical and Chemical Safety: Avoid using equipment made of conductive materials (rods, booms) near power lines or during storms. Use chemical and toxic materials such as lead only as intended and dispose of them in accordance with local regulations.
Health Protection: Wash hands thoroughly when handling products such as lures, lead or batteries. Never wrap fishing line around body parts to prevent injuries.
Regular maintenance: check the condition of the equipment (e.g. rods, reels, lures, connections between parts) and maintain them regularly to ensure proper function and safety.

General rules on safety of fishing products

Dear customers, we have prepared an overview of general safety rules for the use of fishing equipment. By following these simple guidelines, you will not only ensure the longevity of your products, but also protect your health and the environment.

Fishing rods

  • Use the rods only for fishing and not for other purposes.
  • Keep a sufficient distance from high voltage lines (min. 6 metres).
  • Carbon fibre rods must not be used during thunderstorms or near power lines as there is a risk of electric shock.
  • Use a protective case when transporting the rods to prevent damage.
  • Regularly check the connections of the rod parts for looseness.

Reels

  • Use reels only with compatible rods.
  • Avoid overloading the line to avoid damage to the reel or injury.
  • Regularly maintain and lubricate your reels to ensure their functionality.
  • Keep reels out of reach of children as they may swallow small parts.

Braided and fishing line

  • Never tie fishing line around body parts to prevent injury.
  • Cut the line only with a suitable tool, never with your teeth.
  • Store the line in a cool, dark place to preserve its quality.
  • The cord can pose a choking hazard. Keep it out of the reach of children.

Hooks / Jig hooks / Rigi

  • The hooks are very sharp. Cover them when transporting to prevent injuries.
  • Keep the hooks out of the reach of children. - Use pliers to remove hooks from fish to minimize risk of injury.
  • Check the sharpness and strength of the hooks before each use.

End equipment

  • Use terminal tackle only as intended, for example to set bait.
  • Make sure that no small parts are lost to avoid endangering the environment.
  • Make sure all parts are securely attached before fishing.

Fishing boxes - Locks

  • Make sure that the locks on the boxes are firmly closed to prevent accidental opening.
  • Keep the boxes out of reach of children as they may swallow small parts.
  • Protect your hands when opening and closing the boxes.

Tools / Knives

  • Use tools and knives only for their intended purpose.
  • Keep sharp objects safe and out of the reach of children.
  • Always cut away from yourself to prevent injury.

Landing nets

  • Only use the landing nets to catch fish.
  • Keep a good distance from power lines as many scoops are made of conductive material.
  • Check the telescopic mechanism regularly for damage or sand deposits.

Lead

  • Lead is toxic. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling.
  • Use lead ballasts only as intended and properly dispose of damaged or old lead.
  • Do not leave lead outdoors to avoid environmental pollution.

Fishing lures

  • Artificial lures may contain sharp hooks. Handle them with care and use protective hook covers.
  • Regularly check the attachment and condition of the lures.
  • Some lures contain chemicals. Avoid contact with food and wash your hands after use.

Banksticks

  • Use banksticks only to stabilize fishing rods.
  • Make sure the banksticks are firmly driven into the ground to prevent them from tipping over.
  • Protect your hands and feet when inserting them into hard ground.

Batteries

  • Never shake, open or throw batteries into a fire.
  • Do not swallow or damage batteries. Keep them out of the reach of children.
  • Dispose of batteries in accordance with local recycling regulations.
